Installation Guide

A) The Lighting Theorem of the XENON lamp:

Located in the center of the bulb is an airtight anti-UV quartz glass capsule filled with high pressure xenon gas and halide crystals. The added electric field (23000V) causes the xenon molecules to ionize. The conductive ion inside the capsule multiplies at ignition and an electrical arc is engendered between the two main electrodes discharges and produces an intense light.

The color of the luminous body (color temperature) is determined by the microelements inside of the capsule. This color is referred to as the Kelvin Value which can range from 4300K (intense white color) to 12000K (bluish/ purple color).

The function of the HID ballast, which has undergone extensive research and development, is to shift your vehicles 12V direct current to an alternating current, under which the XENON lamp may work normally.

B) Install steps:

1 •  Test the HID system before installation.

2 •  Turn off the lamp switch and remove the OEM halogen bulb.

3 •  Install the XENON bulb in place of the halogen bulb.

4 •  Mount the ballast on the apron/ firewall near the headlamp.

5 • Connect each of the corresponding wire junctions.
CAUTION:
Unless you have experience with this type of installation we suggest letting a professional, such as a car audio shop, install this Xenon kit.
CAUTION:
Unless you have experience with this type of installation we suggest letting a professional, such as a car audio shop, install this Xenon kit. Be sure to keep the glass capsule clean and do not touch it during installation otherwise, will affect the luminescence efficiency and greatly shorten its lifetime.

1 •  Fix the XENON lamp ballast on the appropriate place near the headlamp for ease of wire connecting

2 •  For some car models, it may be necessary to remove the headlamp or bumper, which will make it more convenient to change the bulbs and mount the ballast.

3 •  For some headlamps it is necessary to drill a small hole in the rear cover to lead the high-pressure wires out after installing the bulb (use silicone to seal this hole.)

4 •  Pay special attention to the safety and aesthetics of the wires and you run them.

D) The installation Circuit Diagram for the XENON lamp:

For most applications you just need to connect the lead wires to the OEM 12v light socket of the car. In some rare cases the vehicle's power source may not be strong enough to ignite the Xenon bulb. You can install another control wire to solve this problem.

E) The Correct way to use the XENON lamp:

We recommend that you aim the headlights down slightly after HID installation to avoid affecting other drivers by the increased headlight output. (See your Owner's Manual)

1. The intelligent chip in the ballast can self-adjust but, if not necessary, do not switch the XENON lamp on and off frequently. This may eventually cause instability with the system.

2. A slight beep, made by the high frequency power source of the ballast, may appear by cold start and will disappear about 2 seconds later. This is normal phenomenon.

3. It is always best to turn the XENON lamp on with the engine started in order to have enough power for starting. Under normal running conditions the current draw is 3.6A and it can save the electric energy.

5.The starting current is stronger (about 10A), it is normal phenomenon that only one lamp ignites. Simply turn off and turn the lights back on, it should work normally. This may be caused by low battery power (these ballasts have priority conduct function when starting).
